This Week’s Easy Weekday Supper Recipes #WeekdaySupper

By FamilyFoodie 4 Comments

Hi there!  Happy Monday! You are in for a treat this week with fabulous recipes from five of  our contributors!  Did I see Bang Bang Chicken on the menu?  I did, I did… and my kids are going to go crazy over it!  I think I see Salmon too… oh my!

Easy Weekday Supper Recipes

  •  Monday – Dorothy from Shockingly Delicious – Tuscan Baked Eggs on Lentils
  • Tuesday – Renee from Magnolia Days – Pork Chops with Sauerkraut
  • Wednesday – Heather/Hezzi-D’s Books and Cooks – Bang Bang Chicken
  • Thursday – Pam/Blueberries and Blessings – Individual Salmon Loaves
  • Friday – Shannon/Country Girl in the Village – Chicken Veggie Burritos

As many of you know, I traveled to Miami last week. I may have spent some time on a yacht and I may have enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Prime 112, one of my favorite restaurants.  It was a great trip but it is always amazing to me when I travel how being away for three days seems like an eternity.  No matter how much fun I am having, I can’t wait to get home.

I will tell you, the highlight of my week was going to the Saturday Farmer’s Market with Reis and Riley.  Part of the fun is seeing who will show up every week and what is new, fresh and in season.  This week, we came home with the most wonderful fresh mozzarella we have ever tasted.  The vegetables were spectacular.  Look at the color of those beautiful yellow tomatoes.  Some would say that they don’t look perfect because they have some marks on them.  To me, they scream fresh.  If you pick up a tomato and smell it, you know immediately that it is fresh and in season. Tomatoes are one of my absolute favorite fragrances, there is nothing quite like it.

And we may have left the farmers market with a couple of fudge cones too… shhh

Our Farmer’s Market treasures inspired me to make this beautiful salad that we devoured for lunch.  It was amazing.

I do have to share with you one more itty bitty little highlight from this weekend… #SundaySupper.  Not only was our actual Sunday Supper fabulous, but so was our Sunday Supper Movement.  We had a tremendous response to this week’s Sunday Supper Movie Event planned by Heather from girlichef .  It is always so exciting to see #SundaySupper trending on Twitter and this was one of those week.

Your salad looks amazing, Isabel. I am jealous that you can already get perfectly ripe tomatoes. In Oregon we still have to wait a while 🙂

The recipes for this week are – as always – fantastic!

Your salad looks very delicious, especially with that fresh and ripe yellow tomatoes. I think I need to go to farmer’s market this weekend and make my own salad. Have a great weekend.
