Delicious Valentine’s Day Recipes #SundaySupper

I have never been a big Valentine’s Day celebrant.  Yes, I know, every couple should make some time to celebrate Valentine’s Day….I could try to blame it on being married 20 years, four kids…blah, blah, blah… but honestly, it just  has never been my thing.  I was never one to put together Delicious Valentine’s Day Recipes.

Until… I heard about this fabulous menu that was put together by this group of  amazing Food Bloggers!  Honestly, I think this group could make me celebrate just about anything as long as it involved their fabulous recipes!  Not only are their creations amazing…they are truly wonderful people to work with.  The kind that inspire you to be more creative, develop better recipes and just be a better person.  I can not tell you how much I honor and respect this group of amazing women!

Renee Dobbs from Magnolia Day’s is truly a  a talent and a Sweet Heart. She is whipping up one of my favorites …  Shrimp.  Her Shrimp Arnean is the perfect starter to our Romance Dinner!

Valerie Cathell of Val’s Food and or Art will blow you away with her fabulous Roasted Creamy Mushroom Bisque with Caramelized Onions & Creme Fraiche and Smoked Oyster Pate.

Sunithi Selvaraj from Sue’s Nutrition Buzz  is always creating Heart Healthy Recipes and her Pink Heart Healthy Grapefruit Pomegranata Salad is just amazing!

Rashmi Primlani  from  The Primlani Kitchen is an amazing chef.  Her recipes are some of the most creative that I have come across.  Her Osso Buco with Saffron Risotto will have you drooling this Valentine’s Day!

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day without a Champagne Cocktail and Eileen Gross from Wine Every Day is our Master of Cocktails!  You won’t be able to stop at just one!  But hey, it’s Valentine’s Day!

The perfect compliment to our Cocktails came from Donna Currie.   Cookistry’s version of a Heart Shaped Cheese Ball is just adorable and oh so yummy!

Nicole Cook can Cook… no pun intended… her Daily Dish Recipes are fabulous and her Valentine’s Champagne Cupcakes are no exception!

I spent the day in Vovo’s Cozinha and loved every minute of it. I learned how to make another one of my favorite Portuguese Desserts from my Mom  ~ Mousse de Chocolate or Portuguese Chocolate Mousse.  So smooth, silky and totally indulgent!  It is a Portuguese favorite in our home!

Ingredients

• 6 Eggs
• 10 ounces of Dark Chocolate (I used Scharfen Berger, I would highly recommend. Truly one of a kind)
• ½ Cup of Milk
• 12 Tablespoons of white sugar

Instructions

1. Melt the chocolate in the milk over low heat and let it cool.
2. Separate egg whites and yolks.
3. Mix yolks with the chocolate.
4. Whip egg whites, add sugar and keep beating until fluffy
5. Mix the chocolate with egg white's
6. Refrigerate before serving
