Happy 100th Birthday Julia Child!
I love this woman, not only for her cooking but also for her ability to inspire others. Her voice, her attitude, her sense of humor were absolutely contagious. She changed the world’s view on cooking and showed us that success is possible at any age when you find what you love. Julia Child had a huge impact on Foodies, before we even knew Foodies would come to be.
The Sunday Supper Movement Celebrated Julia Child’s 100th Birthday by kicking-0ff #CookForJulia with PBS Food on August 5th.
49 of our Sunday Supper Movement contributors chose their favorite Julia Child Recipe and shared it with our audience. During our Sunday Supper live chat, #Cook forJulia trended number 1 and #SundaySupper trended number 2. We couldn’t have been more thrilled!
Or so we thought! Yahoo Shine has Sunday Supper Movement thrilled with a little more excitement. Yahoo Shine featured Julia Child Recipes Cooked by Her Biggest Blogger Fans and 9 of the 18 bloggers featured were members of our Sunday Supper Movement. What an honor! Congratulations to the following blogs Cookistry, Shockingly Delicious, The Wimpy Vegetarian, Cupcakes & Kale Chips, Katherine Martinelli, Girl in the Little Red Kitchen, Chelsea’s Culinary Indulgence, Kimchi Mom and Family Spice. Your recipes and photography were absolutely gorgeous.
