Join us for a #DessertsInJars Event at Fried Green Tomatoes Farm

By FamilyFoodie 4 Comments

Are you ready for summer?  I sure am and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Summer than a good old fashioned visit to a local farm.  The only thing that could make that visual even better… delicious desserts!

I am very excited to be partnering with Harvard Commons Press and Fried Green Tomatoes Farm in Burlington, Wisconcin to put together a fun and exciting event featuring recipes from Desserts in Jars by Shaina Olmanson.

Desserts In Jars Cookbook

Please join us at Fried Green Tomatoes Farm Opening Day and Recipes from Desserts in Jars Cookbook

June 1, 2013 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

The Desserts in Jars Cookbook by Shaina Olmanson is full of easy tasty recipes and gift giving ideas!  Chef Jaclyn Trimble will be preparing recipes from this fabulous cookbook and we can’t wait for you to join us and taste these fun desserts.

Tickets are available in advance for $20.00 and includes a copy of the book, beverages and a tasting of recipe samples prepared by Chef Jaclyn Trimble. Purchase your tickets here.  Tickets are also available at the door but are limited.

Dan DiPaolo from Fried Green Tomatoes Farm will  have Hanging Baskets and Patio Pots, Fresh Eggs Rhubarb and Asparagus, Garden Decor, Wonderful hand-made Artwork and Furniture from the Studio! Fried Green Tomatoes Farm is located at 27229 Rowntree Rd, Burlington, WI 53105.

Call Dan for directions or questions: 262 442 7374.

You will love the fun recipes in this cookbook, check them out!

Desserts in Jars includes scrumptious kid friendly fare such as Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes, grown-up indulgences like colorful Neapolitan Cakes and sophisticated (but easy to make!) Cardamom Pear Crisps. Chapters provide recipes for simple quick breads, refreshing frozen Basil Strawberry Lemonade Granitas, even unbaked mixes in jars — for delights like Espresso Brownies or Spiced Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon Marshmallows — that are ideal to give as gifts with a personal touch.

Bring the Family and Join the fun on June 1st at Fried Green Tomatoes Farm.

This event is brought to you by Swift Bell Media, the company that connects live events with social media reach.

Oh my goodness, Isabel. Wish I could fly to Wisconsin for the event. I’m familiar with desserts in a jar but your descriptions and photos guarantee gourmet ones!
