Can you make a delicious Sunday Supper recipe by using only 5 ingredients or less? At our house, reality is that most of our dishes are made with 5 ingredients or less. I am a true believer that the flavor of each ingredient should stand out in every recipe. This delicious Honey Almond Salmon is the perfect example. I have served this dish for our family and have also prepared it while entertaining. It is not only delicious but a beautiful dish to serve tableside.
Judging by all the fantastic recipes by our Sunday Supper Contributors, I am not alone. There are so many great recipes that are simple, delicious and only require a couple of ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 salmon fillet
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup almonds, slivered
- broccoli spears (optional)
- lemon (optional)
- sea salt and fresh ground pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Place the salmon on baking sheet or oven proof platter.
- Mix olive oil, honey and garlic in a small bowl.
- Brush the honey and garlic mixture on the salmon fillet.
- Place a thin layer of almonds on the salmon.
- If adding broccoli, add it to the side of the salmon and sprinkle with olive oil.
- Season with sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
- Bake for approximately 35 minutes. You will have to adjust time depending on the thickness of your piece of salmon. Test the center of the fish to make sure that it is done. Almonds will look crispy and toasted.
- Garnish with lemon is desired.
We’re thrilled to have Alice of Hip Foodie Mom, around the family table this week as our host. There goes our excuse not to cook, these recipes are too simple and require no fuss!
