Of course there are those that think any beverage is suitable for summer celebrations. As long as it’s a nice cold drink, it’s good to go. Well, I am of the opinion that summer drinks should be a little bit different. They need to be refreshing. But there is something about summer that screams fruity, tart and a hint of bubbles. Those are the drinks that remind me of summer.
At our house, summer starts the beginning of birthdays and celebrations. All four of our children were born in the summer and there are times that I wonder if we need a Birthday Savings Account. This year, my second oldest is graduating from high school. Let’s just say, we have a lot of celebrating to do.
When I was younger, I felt a need to go overboard in at my parties. You know what I mean. I would spend way too much time in the kitchen and not enjoying the company of my guests. As I have gotten older, I realize that our get togethers are so much more about the time spent with family and friends and the memories made during these special moments.
I have a little secret to share with you that I recently discovered. It has made my summer get togethers so much more delicious and so much more relaxed. My secret is Seagram’s Escapes. My guests go crazy over all the flavors. I love that I can place them all into a bucket with ice and let everyone choose their favorites. There are so many amazing flavors like Aloha-tini, Mango and Sangria that are just awesome.
And don’t even get me started on the Frozen Seagram’s Escapes… I remember those days of spending hours over the blender at my own party. No more! Now I just pop these frozen pouches in a bowl of ice and I let my guests serve themselves. And guess what… everyone has so much fun choosing from the fun flavors. Frozen or over ice, we have it all!
I have to admit, every once in a while, I still like doing a little bit of fussing. When I do, I use Seagram’s Escapes as a base for an amazing Summer Cocktail. I am in love with the Seagram’s Escapes Mango flavor! You can add some ice and some sliced mango and you’d be good to go. But if you want to have some fun, then you must try this Mango Mojito. Your parties will never be the same!
