Back to School and Summer Memories #weekdaysupper

fwc reisrileyIt’s back to school time and the summer memories were unforgettable.  This was truly a summer our family will never forget.

I am truly sitting here this morning and wondering how this could have happened.   How is it possible that for the first time, I won’t have any children in grade school this year?  Could it be that I will have two in college and two in middle school? Apparently so!

On to the next chapter of our lives, for me and for them.  Alexandra is entering her Junior year in college and will be experiencing internships and that next level of classes geared at her major.  Ronnie will be a freshman.   New experiences and new beginnings are ahead for him.  Such an exciting time.

And Reis and Riley are going into sixth and eighth grade.  After 14 years at the same school, we decided to make a change this year and move to a new middle school for them.  This truly is a year of change and like most mom’s I am sitting here this morning while the house is still quiet wondering what will be ahead for them this year.  Have we made the right college decisions?  Have we chosen the right school for Reis and Riley?  No one really knows.  All we can do is plan for the future and adjust along the way.

One thing I know for sure is that we had an amazing summer filled with wonderful memories that will truly last a lifetime. Our time spent at South Seas Island Resort was so special.  What an amazing place to spend quality family time.  We had so much fun meeting old friends at Universal Studios.  There truly is nothing like spending time with lifelong friends.  It didn’t matter that our children were decades apart, it was a trip that we will always remember.   We ended the summer with a fun day at Tradewinds Resort where Reis and Riley had the times of their lives on the motorized surf boards.

Truly something that I will always remember about Summer 2013 and something that every parent should experience at least once. food and wine conference
