Summer is here, and there is no better time to celebrate great desserts. We would be honored to have you join us for our Summer Tour and taste beautiful desserts from Desserts in Jars by Shaina Olmanson.  The Desserts in Jars Cookbook is full of easy tasty recipes and gift giving ideas!

Bring the family and join us at these library events!

Come to the Indian Trails Library and enjoy as Chefs Demonstrate How to Make Delicious Desserts in Jars

Chefs Corey and Sara Grupe will demonstrate recipes from the book “Desserts in Jars: 50 Sweet Treats that Shine” at the Indian Trails Library, 355 Schoenbeck Rd. Wheeling, Saturday, June 22, 1-2 p.m. This program is free, but registration is requested at www.indiantrailslibrary.org.

“We’ve selected treats from ‘Desserts in Jars,’ a really fun and hip book, that anyone can make. These creations can give your celebrations a real twist,” said Corey Grupe, who has worked at Copper Creek Grill in Vernon Hills and Convito Italiano in Wilmette. Today Grupe is an account manager for Stoller Wholesale, where he sells fine wines, spirits, and beers. Wife Sara worked at Betise in Wilmette and is currently a marketing associate with Sysco Foodservice.

Written by Shaina Olmanson, “Desserts in Jars” will be available for purchase at the event for $16.95 (cash or credit card). All proceeds benefit programs at the Indian Trails Library. For more information call 847-459-4100.

Join us at the Nicholas P Sims Library and enjoy desserts from Desserts in Jars.

CeCe Pettigrew of Uncle Willie’s Pies is preparing beautiful desserts for you to enjoy during this event.  We have heard that CeCe has award winning pies and can’t wait to try them baked in jars!

This program is free, but registration is required at www.simslib.org. “Desserts in Jars” will be available for purchase at the event for $16.95 (credit card). A portion of the proceeds benefit programs at the Indian Trails Library.  Contact: Heather Lee: [email protected]

Unfortunately, the tour is not coming to Northridge, CA, but it looks like fun!
