Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. My Weekend was absolutely amazing. We took the kids to see The Zak Brown Band on Friday night. Yep, we went all out and had a tailgate party complete with shrimp on the barbie, veggie burgers, tomato and mozzarella salad, spinach and artichoke dip and homemade hummus! We had quite the feast and then played cornhole. The concert was awesome and it was one of those nights that you think… this is what memories are made of.
Saturday is when things started getting crazy. Three football games and it was Father Daughter Weekend at my daughter’s sorority. I stayed with the boys and Ron did his fatherly duties and had a blast with Alexandra at school. They both shared their fun day with me and I loved hearing both versions of their evening. I was once again reminded… these memories will last a lifetime.
I left the house at the crack of dawn on Sunday morning and headed to South Beach for the Food and Wine Festival. It was my first time and boy did I have a blast! I will be sharing all the deets very shortly but know that it was fabulous and filled with many of my favorite celebrity chefs.
After an exhilarating but also exhausting weekend, I can’t wait to spend time Around the Family Table with the kids and look forward to this week’s Easy, Simple and Wholesale #WeekdaySupper Recipes!

February 28, 2013 at 12:42 amI was wondering what items you ended up with on your tailgating menu. Everything sounds wonderful! I had to go look up cornhole though. I’d never heard that term before but it looks like the game we used to play at church Autumn fests when I was a child. Great fun!
What a lovely round up of weekday recipes!

February 28, 2013 at 9:16 amI wasn’t sure if cornhole was a thing everywhere or just here in Ohio. We always play at our family reunions and get togethers. So much fun! Sounds like a great weekend of family bonding!
