Croque Madame Croissant

Croque Madame on a Croissant ~ Emeril’s Kicked-up Sandwiches

We are having too much fun this week at the Family Foodie Kitchen.  We are loving some Serious Sandwiches from Emeril’s new cookbook, Kicked-up Sandwiches.   Remember I told you that the next Sandwich that we made would be chosen (since he has taken over this project) by Reis.  He chose the Croque Madame on a Croissant.  Doesn’t the name sound fancy?  This sandwich was so much fun to make and it was absolutely amazing!   The combination of the Parmesan Bechamel and the Fried Egg… BAM!  This is truly a Kicked-Up Sandwich.

Bechamel Sauce

Reis and I had so much fun making the Bechamel Sauce.  It seriously took this sandwich to another level.

Croque Madame on a croissant

You all know how much I love love love anything with an egg on top!   Can you just imagine the taste of the soft croissant with the salty ham, creamy bechamel and a fried egg oozing out…. truly an amazing experience!

This Sandwich was a home run with the Kids! Kid Ratings: Alexandra 9, Ronnie 9.5, Reis 10, Riley 9     It’s a keeper!

Do I have you excited to try this cookbook?  Here’s the best part, I am giving away a copy to one of my followers.  All you have to do is tell me your favorite Emeril Legasse recipe in the comments below and BAM! I get to choose a favorite as my winner.

Looks delicious! One of my all-time favorites! So sad our little French Bistro on 30A moved to Charleston as I used to go there on Sunday’s for Croque Madame’s! Yum!

My favorite Emeril recipe is his Cornbread and Andouille Dressing. I make it every Thanksgiving along with his Brussel Sprouts with Walnuts and his Walnut Tart. Always a big hit!

Oh my! Your Croque Madame looks delectable! I have to give it a try. One of my favorite Emeril recipes is his Chicken and sausage gumbo!

Fantastic photography! Do your kids rate all your recipes? What else would you use the Parnesan Bechamel for–could you eat it with a spoon? (JOKING. Maybe. OK, joking.)
