Christmas – A Time of Our Lives

By FamilyFoodie 2 Comments

This Holiday Season, I find myself feeling grateful and blessed. When I look back on 2013, I am filled with emotion. It was a year of growth, both professional and personally. I am reminded of the greatest lesson that I learned, the gift of time with those that we love. It is so easy to get caught up in having the house look perfect, serving the perfect holiday dinner and giving the perfect gifts. But our time is the best gift in the world.

We kicked off our Holiday Season at South Seas Island Resort this year. If you have never visited Captiva Island, I would highly recommend it. It is a magical place where time stands still and age barriers are removed. It wasn’t until I was relaxing in our villa that I realized how much I needed some down time with my family and our dear friends of over 20 years. The five days that we spent together were ones that I will cherish for a very long time.

As we sang with the carolers, decorated Christmas Cookies, sat on Santa’s lap, cooked together in our villa and watched football in our poolside cabana — I realized that it’s okay to do something a little “untraditional” this year. The family table can be anywhere and I am so happy that this Holiday started at South Seas Island Resort. The memories that were created will last a lifetime!

Merry Christmas – Happy Holidays Friends!

May your Holidays be filled with love and memories Around the Family Table.

Thank you for your time this past year. Your love and support has touched me, my family and the Sunday Supper Family in more ways than you could ever imagine!

Disclosure: We were invited as guests of South Seas Island Resort. All opinions are my own.
