Back to School Quick and Easy Recipes #WeekdaySupper

By FamilyFoodie 4 Comments

It’s Back to School Time!  I have to admit, I am a little sad.  We have already packed up my oldest and drove her back to her Junior Year of College at University of Florida.  The boys have one more week before school begins and football season is already upon us.  Yes, it is that time of year that we are running.  It wasn’t that long ago that we were going to four football games every week.  I truly didn’t think I would survive.  But of course we did and there is a little teeny tiny part of me that is a  little sad that we only have two football games to look forward to this year.

Back to School Time brings back so many wonderful moments.  Although my older two are not cheering and playing football in college, I can not tell you how invaluable those years were.  Being part of a team truly shaped their future.  Looking back, all the running around to make four practices and four games per week was worth it.  It shaped our family and defined our commitment to each other.

Time Around the Family Table during the busy school year is so important.   We are committed to bringing you quick and easy Weekday Supper Recipes so that you can get dinner on the table in a snap and the kids out the door to practice.

    Hi Isabel!

I didn’t get to meet you at the Rosen as I was on vacation. I really enjoy your blog and love how your intention is for families to sit down and eat dinner together! My daughter started her Senior Year at UF this year. She has always lived off campus and makes her meals herself as much as possible. My husband and I both love cooking and have passed that on to most of our 7 children together!! They sit down with their children at home for dinner as much as possible. I love that we were able to pass that tradition to them!

      Hi Cindy,
So glad you reached out. I hope we meet next time I am at Rosen… goodness, I just love that place! They were the perfect setting for the Food and Wine Conference. I have a daughter that is a Junior at UF and she also cooks many of her meals… she is quite the foodie.
I truly believe that one of the best gifts we can give our children is time together around the family table. What a wonderful tradition you have passed on to your children.
