- 2 slices of white bread
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Sea salt and ground fresh pepper to taste
- Tomato Sauce
- In a small bowl, pour the milk over the bread and let soak for 15 minutes
- Squeeze the bread and drain excess milk. Discard the milk.
- In a large bowl combine the ground pork, eggs, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder and soaked bread. Season with salt and pepper
- Gently mix with your hands to combine all the ingredients. Avoid over mixing
- Preheat the over to 375 degrees
- Gently roll each meatball into 2 inch balls (they are nice large meatballs)
- Space them one on a prepared baking pan approximately ½ inch apart
- Bake the meatballs for ½ hour
- Bring the tomato sauce to a simmer.
- When the meatballs are done, add them to the tomato sauce and simmer for a minimum of 2 hours.
