- 1 lemon,
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup peri peri (piri piri) sauce or hot sauce of choice
- 1 cup grape tomatoes, cut in half
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup radishes, thinly sliced
- 2 small heads of bibb or butter lettuce, separated
- Combine beef, garlic, paprika and bay leaf in a large bowl.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for approximately 4 hours or overnight.
- Heat a skillet on medium high and add olive oil
- Remove the bay leaf and add the marinated beef to the skillet and saute for approximately 5 minutes or until cooked
- Add the peri peri sauce and continue to cook for 5 more minutes
- Remove from heat and display to add to the lettuce wraps
- Display tomatoes, carrots, radishes and let everyone build their own lettuce wraps
