The Food and Wine Conference | #WeekdaySupper Inspiration

Dunedin SunsetHappy Monday!  It’s here, It’s here!  That time that you have been dreaming about and pouring your heart and soul into, it’s finally here!  It is so hard for me to believe that this is the week that it all takes place.  The Food and Wine Conference will no longer be a dream but will become a reality.  What started off as a small thought to get a group of Sunday Supper Contributors together,  has taken on a life of it’s own.  Just like the Sunday Supper Movement, it has become so much more than I could have ever imagined.  This morning, I can’t help but sit an I wonder, what will I be like next week at this time…

Through the process of planning The Food and Wine Conference, I have been reminded of what it feels like to be loved and have support behind you.  There is only one thing that I know for sure.  This event would not be a reality without the support from so many!  I don’t know that support could be considered a feeling but it sure feels good when you know you have it. There is nothing quite like it.

Sensing that I was a little anxious and perhaps a tad overworked this past week, Ron and I went out for an appetizer and a drink Saturday night.  We are blessed to live near the water and we quietly sat and watched the sunset.  Simply and quietly, I felt that support from my husband who understands there are no words at this point just that wonderful feeling of knowing that others are behind you.

It feels really good to know you gave it your all.  What will be, will be.  I couldn’t imagine a line-up of better speakers for this event or better sessions filled with wholesome information.   But what absolutely excites me the most is that many of us will get to meet for the first time and finally break bread together… to me that is what Social Media is all about!

This week’s #WeekdaySupper  recipes are not only fabulous but super easy!  Please join me in welcoming our new contributor Micha, from Cooking Mimi.  She is kicking off our week with her Taco Wraps!

By this time next week, Isabel, I believe we’ll all be raising our glasses in thanks to a wonderful F & W Conference. Thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into attracting such great speakers and sponsors =)
